ODSP workers to
Walk for a Healthy Workplace on May 22

ODSP staffers in Bracebridge are all
smiles as they prepare to participate in their local Walk
for a Healthy Workplace.

More than 20 ODSP members in Sault Ste
Marie took part in the Walk for a Healthy Workplace. Special
thanks to the presidents of OPSEU locals 601 and 605 for
joining their brothers and sisters on a stroll through
downtown Soo.

The OPSEU banner was prominently
displayed by members of Local 308 in Peterborough. More than
20 ODSP members and supporters participated in their Healthy
Walk, which attracted considerable media coverage in the
local newspaper, radio and television.

Conservative MPP Garfield Dunlop joins
executive board member Doris Middleton, second from right,
and several other sisters in Local 314, Orillia, during the
Walk for Healthy Workplace. Dunlop pledged to raise the
issue of ODSP understaffing in the Legislature.

Local 119 in Woodstock had a perfect
turnout for the Walk for a Healthy Workplace. All 8 OPSEU
members took part in two separate walks on a cool and sunny
day.

ODSP members in Kirkland Lake braved
cold and rainy conditions while doing some litter
pick-up along the way during their Walk for a Healthy
Workplace. All eight staff members participated, in two
shifts.

Local 635 ODSP staffers take a well
deserved break after today’s Walk for a Healthy Workplace.
More than 40 ODSP members and OPS supporters joined the
Walk.
