Pride Week 2008: June 20th to June 29th

Pride Week celebrates diverse sexual and gender identities, histories, cultures, families, friends and lives. OPSEU members will be participating in events across Ontario.

Pride Week in Toronto is one of the largest Pride celebrations in the world. Together with the thousands of individuals, community groups, businesses and participating sponsors, we are proud to celebrate the lives and stories of Toronto's Queer Communities.

Pride Toronto has been in existence, in various forms, since the late 1970s and annually since 1981. Toronto's Pride Week evolved out of the mass protests that followed the Toronto bathhouse raids. Pride Toronto exists to celebrate the history, courage, diversity and future of the city's Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender communities.

Pride Week features 10 days of world class arts and cultural programming, community activities, one of the worlds largest street festivals, Pride Parade and Dyke March, Family programming, and much more.

Visit Toronto Pride Week's website for more information about Pride Week in Toronto.
